Little Things Vol . 1

“Sometimes, the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”

— A.A. Milne

About the Book

Little Things Vol.1 is a collection of stylized macro photography that captures the beauty in the small and often overlooked details of our world. This book was more than just a compilation of images—it was a journey of learning and exploration for me as an artist.

While I have experience capturing and editing photos, creating this book was an exercise in consistency and cohesion. It was a test of my ability to develop and apply a unified editing style throughout an entire collection, ensuring each image contributes to a seamless visual experience. It also involved diving into aspects of book creation beyond photography, like the intricacies of arranging images for a natural flow, and learning the administrative details, such as acquiring an ISBN and submitting copies to the national archives.

The images in Little Things Vol.1 are sourced from a small selection of my extensive archive, focusing on macro photography as a subject. The intention here was to concentrate on the process—to learn the "how" of book creation—rather than the "what." Future publications will delve deeper into themes that align more closely with the vision of a.dream.long.forgotten, featuring images intentionally crafted for this project.

A small print run of 30 copies of Little Things Vol.1 was made. As time went on, I found myself increasingly proud of what this book had become. What started as an exercise in learning has grown into something more, and I now see it as a piece worth sharing with others. If you are interested in viewing or purchasing a copy of the book while supplies last, please feel free to contact me. I hope this collection allows you to find beauty in the details and brings a sense of wonder to the often-overlooked little things that fill our world.
